Warning to players about Cardspike.com

Warning: Do not play at Cardspike.com

We thought we should warn all online poker players about a fairly new online poker room that opened in September 2008 called Cardspike.com. This room is on the Cake Poker network and was set to be a big hit for players and affiliates, then red flags started popping up everywhere!

The first red flag was in late October when cardspike players started complaining about not getting their Rakeback payment for the previous month. Then affiliates realized they had not been paid either. Red flag number two came at the beginning of November when players and affiliates once again did not receive their payments.

Special note: There are some very good and most importantly SAFE online poker rooms to play at, one example is Cake Poker where you can get a 100% Match Bonus up to $500 and 33% Rakeback. Click here to Play Cake Poker now

In November several complaints were voiced to the affiliate manager and the owners of Cardspike.com who also own Casino Affiliate Programs.com and Poker Affiliate Programs.com. After several complaints and broken promises of payments and resolutions to these issues, Cardspike replaced their affiliate manager and brought in a new AM to fix these issues.

Once again, more promises of payments were made, and they have all been broken! Players are still waiting on their Rakeback and cashout payments, and affiliates have resigned themselves to the fact that they have been scammed. We want to make sure that all players and poker affiliates stay away from this room and pass the word about the shady practises of the people involved with this card room.

Here is a quote from Nat Arem, a well respected guy who broke the AP scandal story wide open for the online poker world.

“I want to make everyone aware, that, if you do sign up for a Cake Poker network rakeback account, do NOT do it at CardSpike.  CardSpike is a rogue skin on the Cake Poker network that has been delaying making payouts for months now.”

“If you’re going to sign up for rakeback on the Cake Network, do it either at Cake Poker or at Players Only,” Arem continues. “There are many reputable rakeback operators who run rakeback on these networks,” he advises, before going on to name some of the more reputable sites that will always pay monies due on time and without hassles.

It appears that some affiliates are fighting for their players to be paid through the Effective Media program, which apparently manages affiliate affairs for CardSpike.
