19 Year Old Wins PokerStars CA Main Event

January 19, 2010

It used to be well known seasoned poker players taking home the titles from large live events but the younger crowd has been taking over for some time and another young player has won a major tournament.

The winner of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) Main Event is Harrison Gimbel, a 19 year old from Florida.   He outlasted 1,529 players in the Main Event to win $2.2 million dollars.  You can find him playing  online as ‘gibler321’ at PokerStars.

He didn’t even have to pay the $10,000 dollar buyin to do it.  He won his entry into the event by winning an online satellite at PokerStars.  It just goes to show that you don’t have to have a huge bankroll in order to win big money.  Gimbel  spends most of his time playing online, about 95 percent actually but he does play live poker in area casinos.

He is now taking some time away from school to enjoy his winnings but may go back in the future. Not already a member of PokerStars? New players are eligible for a bonus of 100% up to $600 dollars on their first deposit by using this code ‘rakebackteam.com’.
